The Cattolica Aquarium is a large theme park dedicated to the sea world, an area whose 110.000 m2 surface hosts marine species coming from all corners, looked after with care and competence by the Aquarium staff. Inside, it is possible to undertake a journey to discover mysterious and curious creatures which populate the earth’s seas up to the Pacific Ocean.
The goal of the Cattolica Aquarium is show visitors the beauty of marine nature trying to educate them on the importance of the conservation and protection of both the environment and its inhabitants. The tanks at Cattolica Aquarium are split into a number of sections, each one dedicated to various animal species that do not jut belong to the marine environment.
Blue Section: Cattolica Aquarium’s main section, including more than 100 tanks hosting sharks, penguins, tritons, jelly fish and other sea dwellers. The species you will find in this exhibition area come from every sea and ocean.
Yellow Section: the section dedicated to creatures populating the waterways such as otters and caimans.
Green Section: the section dedicated to reptiles is home to snakes, insects, chameleons and exotic species.
Violet Section: the section dedicated to deep sea dwellers is home to hundreds of mysterious fish ranging from the 8-centimeter-long pigmy shark to the 13-meter-long giant squid.

From April 6th to June 30th: from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
From 1st July to 31st August: from 10 am to 9.30 pm
From 1st to 15th September and all subsequent weekends until 4th November: from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
All November Sundays: 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
1, 8, 15, 22 and from 26 December to 6 January: from 9:30 to 16:30
