| This is a tour around the hills of Rimini hinterland, half on an asphalted road and half on dirts and off-tracks. An amusing ride with a couple of hard but short slopes and with a view on the Riviera from the hill of Covignano. In Rimini we go along via Covignano and we cross the provincial road to go uphill for 2 kms. On the top in front of the church, there is a fountain. From the end of the ground starts a larger dirt path. After turning left and then right we get again on the asphalted road, we surpass the Chiesa di S. Lorenzo a Monte and go downhill to the crossing; here we turn left, first uphill, then downhill. After 100 mt on the right we take via S. Cristina, a carriage dirt that becomes a track across the fields (beautiful descent). At the end of the fork we turn left and again up to the top. Now right then left to the first dirt path: via Ortomaggio. Quick descent on a rural track across the fields. On the bottom, after 1 km. We take the asphalted road again, turning left. Now we are in S.Ermete. We get up on the left surpassing the crossing of the restaurant Squadrani, then down to S. Aquilina where a crossing on the left, takes us back to Rimini along the consular road for S. Marino. |
