One of the most important attractions of the park is Geopolis, which illustrates the story and evolution of our planet through a well-organized display of living fossils, the only species which have survived for millions of years. Sharks too are able to catch the attention of increasing numbers of visitors. Acquapolis is a fascinating section featuring educational itineraries across our seas, from the Mediterranean Sea to both Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean and the wonderful coral reef of the Red Sea. The Poison Pavilion hosts an interesting exhibition featuring dangerous substances, poisonous sea vegetables, toxic plants and rare animal venoms. Moreover, one of the most original itineraries in Europe helps visitors discover the Sounds of the sea through an interactive path which allows them to listen to the whispers of sharks, shrimps and other Mediterranean and Tropical species.
