Once arrived at Castiglione dei Pepoli (main square) we get down the asphalt road towards Lake Brasimone until the large open space where we park our car. Then we get up along a narrow street on the left going straight at the fork and beyond (on our side) a building and crossing a bridge. Then, along the path we enter a wood until we get to the spring "Palazzaccio". At the fork we turn left and beyond some musky stones, we get up to the rocks. We leave on the left the path to Case Balduccio and get to a fork not really evident. We get along the path on the left so getting out of the wood near a house. We have arrived at the Lake Brasinone (the dam is 30 metres faraway).

Passo della Raticosa > Parco La Martina

We start from Passo della Raticosa (ss 65 of the Futa beyond Loiano and Monghidoro) going up along the dirt of the restaurant side. The track gets up along the side of the mountain Canda and from the conifer wood gets to the top (1158 m). We get down the path until the asphalt road to Piancaldoli. After a while, on the left we take a path that after 2 km leads to a beautiful but bare place: the Parco la Martina. We come back through the asphalt road to Piancaldoli. From here we can reach through the asphalt for Passo della Raticosa, the Sasso S. Zenobi (900 m).

Visano (Palazzolo sul Senio) > Monte Faggiola

We get to Visano (520 m, camping site and parking) from the Provincial Road n. 306 after surpassing Palazzolo sul Senio. We take then the path marked n. 609 and we climb towards La Cà. We reach Campiali and P.gio Pianaccia till 1031 m of the Monte Faggiola, the end of our ride.

Baffadi (Casola Valsenio) > Monte Mandriola > Baffadi

Getting along the ss 306 we surpass Casola Valsenio and turn to Baffadi. We leave our car and take the path CAI to Monte Scappa. From here we get on to Monte Canozzano (621 m) and we turn right towards Monte Battaglia. Then we reach Canovazza and we take the path to Baffadi (departure and arrival point)

Fornace (Riolo Torme) > Monte Mauro

We start from Fornace road (Riolo Terme, ss 306) taking the carriage to Colle delle Casette. On the top we get on, at the fork, and we turn immediately right along a path on the side of a field. From Monte Casazza we get to the asphalt road and, after 1,5 km, to the top of Monte Mauro.

Fognano > Fieno > Fognano

From Fognano (Vicolo Casette) we turn left up to Casa Romana, Dorile di Sotto and Dorile di Sopra. At La Torretta we start getting down. We surpass, leaving the asphalted road after 300 m to take a path. We pass M. Bitella and Cannello till Fognano (riding along Rio Bagno)

Tredozio > Maestà di Paiano > Case Canepa

From Tredozio (sp 20 at the fork with sp 34) we take along 575. We climb to Monte Vespignano, Cervignano. At Maestà di Fiano we start getting down, following the same path, towards Case Canepa the arrival.

Ponte della Maestà (Portico di Romagna) > Cà Preziamora

We start from the Ponte della Maestà of Portico through the mule track on the opposite side. We get to the Fonte del Muraglione and we climb left. We surpass a building and a spring (on the right) and, at the fork we turn right getting to Cà Preziamora (m 419).

Bocconi > Pratafora > Bocconi

From Bocconi (sp 67) we take the path CAI 401 and we reach the suburb La Bastia. We go towards Cà Fornello and we reach the top of Monte Fumarola. From here on to Monte Mandria (1044 m) and down to Pratafora. We take the path 421 to Cà Raggio and Bocconi again.

HORSE-RIDING THROUGH HILLS AND COUNTRY SIDE

The hinterland of the Rimini Riviera is really suitable for horse-riding for its varied landscape: dirt roads through the country, small streams, paths in the green, light steeps. From many hill spots you can enjoy amazing views on the sea. And in the tracks of Marecchia Valley the Malatesta straugholds dot our "Monument Valley": erratic blocks and very charming hills.
