Hotel Universal, entirely renovated, is situated South of Riccione, in the greenest and quietest area of the town, a few steps away from the thermal baths and about a hundred metres from the beach; it is the optimal solution for those who need thermal treatments, since the hotel is quite close to the “Riccione Terme” establishment. After a day at the beach you have a number of alternatives at your disposal without having to use the car: those who love going shopping have the promenade in Viale San Martino close at hand, and Viale Ceccarini with its griffes is just a few minutes away; a funfair for children is a hundred metres away; for those who are fond of discos, the best known ones in the Riviera (Peter Pan, Byblos, Cocoricò, Pascià, Prince) can be reached in less than three minutes’ drive (the southern area of Riccione is at the foot of Villa Alta, the hill of the discos); ballroom dancing lovers, on the other hand, “Bollicine” is about 200 metres away. A bus service runs pleasantly and quietly along the Riviera Romagnola; from the terminal, which is about 100 metres from the hotel, you can reach Rimini in little more than 20 minutes and Cattolica in little less.

From 1980 we own and run Hotel Universal; we are natives of Romagna and we show all our guests the sincere hospitality and helpfulness which are typical of our land. We are of rural descent and we still own an estate situated in the hills between Coriano and Misano, where we not only grow fruit and vegetables for our hotel, but also produce the typical wines of Romagna: Sangiovese and Trebbiano, both of D.O.C. quality, which are used exclusively in our hotel. Alberto, Rosina, Luca, Claudia, Sauro, Davide, Sara look after the cooking, the buffet in the dining-room, the bar, the reception, the purchases and all the relations with the clientele. A teamwork tested in the course of the years, whose only purpose is that of making your holidays as pleasant as possible. During your stay we would be pleased to take you to visit our country estate, where we will show you the cultivations and the wine vault; you will be able to taste our wines, among which a “prosecco” obtained from the wine-making of white grapes (trebbiano) which is unique in its genre.

The hotel, newly renovated, has all the comforts: a large air-conditioned dining-room, a spacious living-room partly inside, partly outside the building but with a covering, a bar, a lift to reach the various floors, a private parking or a covered and insured one. All the rooms are equipped with big balconies, direct phone line, television set, safe, bathrooms with shower and hairdryer, conditioned air. Special attention is dedicated to our cuisine, which we personally take care of. During your stay you will be able to taste all the traditional Romagna dishes: tagliatelle, ravioli, lasagne, potato dumplings (“gnocchi”), “passatelli” soup and the well-known piada. They are all prepared according to the oldest traditions. At breakfast you will have a buffet with a variety of all the most characteristic cakes of Romagna, baked in our kitchen: jam tarts, ring-shaped cakes, biscuits. Most of the cold pork meats and wines served in the hotel are produced directly and carefully by us in our country estate, from which most of the fruit and vegetables we serve at lunch and dinner in a rich buffet also come.

During your stay you will be able to make free use of a number of bathing huts on the beach; thanks to an agreement made with some bathing attendants, they are reserved for our hotel and they are at your disposal. You will also be able to take advantage of our agreements with the best known fun and water parks: Aquafan, Oltremare, Le Navi, Mirabilandia, Italia in Miniatura, Fiabilandia. For those who are interested, the hotel also offers a special discount card to buy the famous “Valleverde” shoes directly in the factory. If you are sport fishing lovers we can book you unforgettable sea outings for mackerel and pelamyd fishing or recommend you exciting routes for trout fishing in lake districts especially dedicated to sport fishing, deep in the suggestive scenario of the Romagna Apennines.
